In recent years, we have noticed a significant amount of produce going to waste. To address this issue, we aim to take proactive steps in providing or clients with alternative solutions to reduce food waste.

One of our initiatives is to launch a Mulmur Cider company. This initiative will focus on utilizing excess apples and pears left on the trees to create a delicious cider blend. With the potential to produce a substantial amount of cider, you will have the flexibility to choose to keep your cider and use it however you wish, or allow us to sell the cider at local markets near by. Alternatively, we also offer the option to donate cider to the local food banks, providing a way to give back to the community.

At JC AGRI ORCHARDS, we are committed to growing high-quality fruit for our clients. Our team’s dedication begins during the winter season. Winter pruning is the first step to growing exceptional fruit. Next, we design a specific crop protection program to shield the fruit from disease and insect damage. From there, we scout for disease and pests, fertilize, apply herbicide, conduct summer pruning, and administer 12 to 15 crop protection sprays, not only for the aesthetics of the orchards but also for the health of the trees.

• Apple workshop/ classes – host workshops on different uses for apples such as cooking classes, canning workshops. Promote through local community centres, social media.
• Collaborate with local resturants, bakeries, juice bars etc. – supply them with extra apples.
• Online Sales – promote apples through local community groups. Use social media platforms such a Facebook, Marketplace and or Instagram.
